A poster collection captures the tactile and grounding spirit of "17 Cairns," an exhibition by sculptor Wheeler Bills. Held at 5662 Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles, the show explored human connection and physical mark-making through organic sculptures carved from black walnut and other raw woods.
The promotional designs direction mirrored the natural materials of the work while directly showcasing them. By placing photographic documentation of the pieces under monochromatic earth tones, the posters hoped to highlight the distinct textures of the work while establishing a unified, intentional visual identity for the show.
